Big Ass Fan's Powerfoil X2.0 introduces a unique, new, patented airfoil system, which combines patented airfoils and winglets with patent-pending AirFenceâ„¢ technology to increase overall coverage by 28 percent. According to the company, this fan is also characterized by:
- The winglet improves airfoil effectiveness by eliminating efficiency-robbing turbulence at the tip, while the AirFence captures air that would otherwise slip off the end of the airfoil.
- The 8- to 24-foot diameter Powerfoil X2.0 was developed by a team of engineers in the company's custom-built research and development facility.
- Available as an optional upgrade is the Powerfoil X2.0 Wash Down, which features a stainless steel, wash-down motor for frequent intense cleaning, a gearbox coated with food-duty epoxy, a completely sealed NitroSealâ„¢ gearbox with food-grade oil, a non-pooling design as well as nonporous, nonabsorbent and corrosion-resistant materials.
