ACS Valves has designed its cast iron rotary airlock valves to provide the same process optimization benefits typically associated with specialty-application valve designs. The company says that these valves additionally boast:
- The power to reduce rotor service cycle times by 78 percent when compared to bolt-together housing designs, and as a result, increase total process uptime by 18 percent during a typical 8-hour operating shift.
- The ACS RotorRail™ to enable tool-less access to the rotor and all internal surfaces of the housing without rotor disassembly, or the removal from service of upstream or downstream equipment commonly associated with standard valve configurations.
- Accurate rotor re-alignment during reassembly, thus eliminating axial shaft movement, bearing wear and seal leakage, and premature, uneven rotor vane wear.
- An optimal inlet/outlet seal achieved using the company’s standard 8-vane rotor design, which eliminates excess pressure loss through the system, ensures cost-efficient upstream and downstream material management, and reduces process energy consumption.
- Sizes from 6 to 16 inches with pressure differentials up to 15 PSIG and a temperature tolerance up to 500ºF.
- Cast iron housings CNC-machined to precise tolerances.
- Closed-end, metering, shallow-pocket, Teflon®-coated or adjustable-tip rotor configurations.
- Optional hard chrome and Teflon® interior surface coatings.
