New Technology Offering Enables Water Efficiency Through Visibility

Banyan Water, a technology company specializing in smart water management, introduced its new flow monitoring solution. It incorporates a flow monitoring device, the Banyan Water Bracelet, that attaches to water mains with no pipe cutting or disruption and provides customers with real-time intelligence to control indoor water use and cost.

Intuitive dashboards collect and display water data to show customers how water is being used and where opportunities for efficiency exist. The solution automatically detects and alerts users of leaks or other anomalies that may signal a water system issue. With data accessible from any Internet-connected device, Banyan Water’s flow monitoring solution helps clients manage water and costs proactively from the portfolio level down to individual water meters.

“Banyan Water is helping us get to the bottom of the indoor water consumption issue we've had for years at our supportive housing property,” said Susan Peterson, green initiatives director for Foundation Communities in Austin, Texas. “With their help, we’re looking forward to reducing current usage of 120 gallons per bedroom per day down to the level of our other similar properties.”

Banyan Water’s data analytics allow users the opportunity to set benchmarks and compare their water efficiency measures to reduce consumption and improve their overall water portfolio.

“With water rates constantly rising, large water consumers need to know how they can reduce water waste,” said Gillan Taddune, chief executive officer for Banyan Water. “Banyan Water’s flow monitoring solution helps them monitor, understand, and adjust their water usage, which results in ongoing cost savings.”
