The new RPN4009, a self-rotating water jet nozzle from NLB Corp., cleans pipes and tubes at pressures up to 40,000 psi (2,760 bar). Designed for a minimum pipe diameter of 0.75 inches (1.91 cm), it is the first nozzle in the Typhoon 10 series to operate at ultra-high pressure. Like other Typhoon nozzles, the RPN4009 is precision machined and coated with titanium nitride for long life. It can be ordered with cutting/cleaning or polishing heads. Just 4-3/4 inches long (12.1 cm), this nozzle works at a maximum flow of 9 gpm (34 lpm) and rotates at 7,000 rpm. The Typhoon 10 series includes four other water jet nozzles for small tubes, operating at pressures from 15,000 psi to 24,000 psi (1,035 bar to 1,656 bar). NLB also offers the Typhoon™ 20 self-rotating nozzle for pipe diameters of 6 inches to 10 inches (15.2 to 25.4 cm) and the Typhoon™ 60 for pipes up to 50 inches (127 cm) in diameter.
