Tri-Flow, from Tri-Mer Corp., is a filtration concept delivering HEPA-level performance with a MERV 16 rating. Tri-Flow compact filters are a higher-performing alternative to bag, cartridge and pocket filters, which are typically MERV 10-13. They have a small footprint and large filter surface area providing 2-3 times more filtration compared to similarly dimensioned bag (pocket) filters. Tri-Flow maintains a low operating pressure drop and it has filter efficiencies of 99.999% on 0.5 micron and larger particles (by weight) are typical. It is also self-cleaning, thanks to in-line pulse jet cleaning. Tri-Flow compact filters use seven proprietary media tailored to the application, including PMF (polyester with nanofiber overlay) and PTFE for high humidity applications. Media is pleated and bonded for dimensional stability. Filter change-out is done from outside the collector, eliminating employee dust exposure. Existing dust collectors can often be adapted to accommodate Tri-Flow compact filters.
