Parker Hannifin manufactures PTFE polypropylene braided hose assemblies to handle applications where corrosive chemicals attack stainless steel. The company says that the hose assemblies are:
- 20 percent lighter than traditional stainless steel braided hoses and are much more flexible, making it easier to route through tight spaces.
- Plastic, rather than a metal, so the burn risk for operators working around this product is much lower, and the hose will not conduct electricity.
- Supplied in a light blue braid and are available in convoluted assemblies in either natural or static-dissipative tubes.
- Available in sizes ranging from ¼ up to 4 inches O.D., and hoses operate in temperatures up to 212°F/100°C.
