Standex-Meder LS03Standex-Meder Electronics now offers 3 new versions, the DL, DK and GZ, of the LS03 liquid level sensor that can be mounted from the outside. The 3 models are suitable for liquid container monitoring in test and measurement, and control technology. A compact instrument used to detect a single fluid level, this all-inclusive reed sensor contains a sensing element (reed switch), float and magnet all as 1 component. The key component is the hermetically sealed reed switch, which according to the company, is impervious to outside environments. The switches are further sealed in rugged plastic with epoxy seals. Each model offers a switching voltage of 180 V and a switching current of 0.5 A. More specifically:

  • The DK, which is suitable for high filling pressure, features a built-in Viton self seal, 22-mm insertion hole and 5-mm narrow sealing, while coming in polypropylene for water applications and dilute acids, and polyamide for oil, gasoline and brake fluid.
  • The DL, which is suitable for low filling pressure, incorporates a built-in NBR self seal, a 22- to 24-mm insertion hole and 12-mm wide sealing. The sensor is additionally constructed with polypropylene for water applications and dilute acids, and polyamide for oil, gasoline and brake fluid.
  • The GZ, in contrast, is designed so that no sealing is necessary and is available in polyamide.
