For insulation purposes, the high resistivity of fluoropolymer plastics is an advantage but, in some cases, it can be a serious disadvantage as it results in static charge build up — which can result in spark generation. As an alternative, Parker PAGE offers PTFE hose assemblies with an anti-static PTFE inner core, preventing the accumulation of static charges. According to the company:
