The Unique Large Particulate (LP) mixproof valve from Alfa Laval is designed for high-viscosity, particulate-laden food and beverage products — from viscous sauces, soups with vegetable solids, to juices or soft drinks containing pulp. According to the company, the Unique LP features:
- 4- or 6-inch valve port sizes and a superior plug design which results in unobstructed, gentle product flows of the largest food particulate passage possible — up to 1.75 inches in diameter.
- The valve has only has three elastomers in the isolation chamber to minimize risk of product contamination, and is designed with a mix of radial and axial seals.
- FDA compliance to 145 psi — the highest operating pressure available in the market.
- Enhanced CIP efficiencies eliminate the need for manual pipe swing connections and single-seat valve arrangements.
