Mettler Toledo Process Analytics announces the launch of its InPro 4850i pH electrode, which is designed specifically for the requirements of the chlor-alkali industry. According to the company, the electrode is also characterized by:
- A sodium-sensitive glass membrane uses the brine present in chlorine production as a reference, which provides a barrier against oxidizing agents that poison other sensors.
- This feature, combined with digital transmission of the measurement signal, means the electrode is ideally suited to chlorine production.
- Unlike almost all other pH electrodes, it does not have a diaphragm, therefore poisoning of the electrode's sodium reference system is impossible.
- The company’s Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM) technology converts the analog measurement signal into a low-impedance digital signal which is immune to electrical interference, ensuring 100 percent signal integrity and stability. www.mt.com/inpro4850i
