Spectronics Corp. introduces its MDE-2000 Marksman™II, an ultrasonic diagnostic tool that converts and amplifies inaudible ultrasonic sound into audible natural sound. The company says this advanced tool is additionally equipped with:
- The capability to let you hear even the smallest compressed air, natural gas, propane tank, vacuum, steam or other pressurized leaks … before they lead to major breakdowns.
- Accurate diagnosis as a result of the company’s 2-tiered approach, which consists of the receiver converting inaudible ultrasonic sound into audible sound using heterodyne circuitry, then Sound Signature technology fine-tuning the audible sound into the natural sound emitted by the leak itself.
- A 5-LED signal intensity indicator and audible alarm to pinpoint the exact source of each problem.
- An internal noise control feature to safeguard against ambient noise.
- The inclusion of an ultrasonic receiver, full-sized headphones, a hollow air probe, a solid contact probe, a sturdy carrying case, and an ultrasonic emitter that helps locate faulty seals, gaskets and weather-stripping in doors, windows, ductwork and other non-pressurized enclosures.
- Availability of the MDE-2000NC Marksman™ II model, which is equipped with heavy-duty noise-canceling headphones for extremely noisy environments.
