NEWPORT® Electronics’ iTHX-SD transmitter lets you view virtual charts, and record temperature, relative humidity and dew point over an Ethernet network or the Internet — without special software — all you need is a web browser. According to the company, this device also offers:
- The ability to trigger an alarm if the temperature or humidity goes above or below a set point that you determine.
- The flexibility to send alarms by email to a single user or a group distribution list, including text messages to cell phones and PDAs.
- A removable 2-GB SD flash memory card that can store up to 7 years of readings taken at 10-second intervals.
- A simple text file format that is easily imported to spread sheets and other programs.
- The convenience of reading data directly on a PC or MAC with a USB card reader.
- The capacity to download the data remotely over an Ethernet network or the Internet.
