The 12-ounce FlowCal 5000 HPLC liquid flowmeter, available from Tovatech, supports FDA compliance for IQ, OQ and PQ validations on any high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) pump. The company says that the FlowCal 5000 is also furnished with:
- Faster, more accurate (to ±1 percent of calibrated flow rates) results than using timers while manually collecting fluid for gravimetric or volumetric measurement in calibrating flow rates.
- Flows from 0.05 to 25 mL/minute, independent of liquid types up to a 10-centipoise viscosity.
- The display of rates rounded to 4 digits on a backlit LCD, whereas complete data rounded to a full 6-digit reading are output via a built-in RS232 interface.
- A single-chip microcontroller.
- All wetted parts constructed from PTFE, PEEK, DAI-EL, PERFLOUR or Pyrex to handle common HPLC solvents.
- The inclusion of a carrying case, a cleaning kit, and a mounting kit for freestanding (table) applications, or wall- or stack-mounting positions, or wide-necked reagent bottles.
- Suitability for use at the end of the HPLC flow system.
- A UKAS-traceable calibration certificate at 1.0 mL/minute, or the flexibility to specify standard 3-point calibrations of 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 mL/minute.
- The ability to request the company to calibrate your HPLC flowmeter at user-specified flow rates within the unit’s 0.05- to 25-mL/minute operating range, and provide FDA-required annual re-certifications.
- An optional thermal printer.
