Complete Groundwater Remediation System

Abanaki Corporation’s Light Fuel Oil Groundwater Remediation System is designed to remove light hydrocarbons, such as gasoline and diesel fuel, from groundwater.

Light Fuel Oil Groundwater Remediation SystemAbanaki Corporation’s Light Fuel Oil Groundwater Remediation System is designed to remove light hydrocarbons, such as gasoline and diesel fuel, from groundwater using existing monitoring and remediation wells. The cost-effective system additionally:

  • Features the unique PetroXtractor belt oil skimmer, with models that operate in 2-, 4- or 6-inch diameter monitoring wells and in depths up to 100 feet or more.
  • Achieves optimum removal rates due to patent-pending LFO Fuzzy Belt technology, a special oil-attracting material designed to capture floating oil as the belt passes through the surface of the water.
  • Has oil skimmer wiper blades that scrape oil from the belt and discharge it into an oil concentrator (a small gravity separator that removes any trace water from the skimmed oil); the waste oil then flows out of the concentrator into a transfer tank where a pump activated by float switches sends the oil to a customer-provided waste oil vessel.
  • Can be configured in several ways in addition to the standard system: explosion-proof and below-grade configurations are available, among other options.
