Burkert Fluid Control has designed the ELEMENT 8036 flow transmitter to measure flow rates in solid-free liquids across a wide range of applications. This compact transmitter offers:

  • The capability to convert the measured signal, display different values in different units and compute output signals, which are provided via 1 or 2 M12 fixed connectors. 
  • A sensor with a paddle-wheel and a covered enclosure that contains the electronic module and a removable display — all attached to a compact INLINE fitting via quarter-turn.
  • The ability to operate independently of the display, which is required solely for programming the transmitter — setting parameters, restoring default parameters, displaying program information and access codes, adjusting 4- to 20-mA outputs, and viewing measured and processed data.
  • A temperature range from 5° up to 212°F, a maximum pressure of 232 PSI (with a metal fitting) and a 0.5 percent full-scale accuracy rating.
  • Configurations that include 2 programmable outputs (1 transistor output [NPN] and one 4- to 20-mA current output [2-wire]); 3 programmable outputs (2 transistor outputs [NPN/PNP] and one 4- to 20-mA current output [2-wire]); and 4 programmable outputs (2 transistor outputs [NPN/PNP] and two 4- to 20-mA current outputs [3-wire]).
  • The flexibility to switch a solenoid valve, activate an alarm, or establish 1 or 2 control loops if using 1 or 2 transistor outputs.
  • Orifice sizes from1/4 to 2-1/2 inches.
