FilterSense introduces its Particulate CEM continuous emissions monitor to meet environmental regulations, such as US-EPA MACT, and other standards like ASTM D22 for monitoring particulate emissions from fabric filter baghouses, cartridge-type dust collectors, cyclones and some electrostatic precipitators. Other features include:
- The capability to monitor particulate levels down to at least 0.1 mg/m3.
- Non-optical charge induction-sensing and protected-probe technologies to ensure reliable measurements in all types of tough environments, including cement, power, steel, carbon black, asphalt, incinerators, lead smelters, and chemical and pharmaceutical dryers.
- Digital signal processing for advanced signal analysis and automatic self-checks to meet EPA instrument standards.
- Lower level monitoring and higher accuracy than opacity meters with less maintenance and a simpler installation, according to the company.
