Lenox Instrument Company recently announced the release of its new furnace camera HD NIR-thermal imaging camera system, designed to provide clear, real-time thermal imaging and accurate, near-infrared (NIR) temperature measurement from over 320,000 individual temperature points via a Gigabit Ethernet digital connection. The system is:
- Installed through a small 3.5 inch (89mm) opening in the combustion chamber wall.
- High resolution.
- Housed in stainless steel with a triple wall laminar flow for efficient water-cooled protection.
- Integrated with low consumption air-purging to keep the optics clear of debris and enabling operation in high-temperature, furnace environments up to 4250°F (2345°C).
- Operated using selected short wavelength (1µm), that minimizes temperature measurement errors due to variations in target surface emissivity.
