LabStrong Corp. recently unveiled 2 new products to accompany its Fi-Streem line of glass distillation systems — a 40-liter storage tank equipped with fully automatic operation when it is connected to Fi-Streem stills and a pretreatment cartridge that can act as a more cost-effective alternative for producing treated feed water to the Fi-Streem line of stills. Furthermore:
- The storage tank incorporates a vent filter to prevent airborne contamination, a sight glass for observation of water levels, as well as bench- or wall-mounting options.
- The pretreatment cartridge contains ion-exchange resin that removes ionic contaminants from feedwater and a filter to remove particulates. Water purity is easily indicated by a resin color change, which can be viewed from 2 windows built into the casing. The system includes hose fittings, a flow valve and a wall bracket.
