The Lechler high temperature PTFE whirly is a rotating tank cleaning nozzle designed for applications where the operating environment is very hot — such as in a reactor. While PTFE can withstand high temperatures, its dimensional stability limits its range as a tank cleaning device. Lechler’s design incorporates two Hastelloy® rings which control the expansion of the material so it can continue to spray reliably amidst high temperatures. The nozzle performs equally well under normal conditions, giving it a wide temperature operating range. The clip-on sanitary model has been shown to be suitable for spraying low pressure steam up to 30 psig @ 274ºF. Among this product’s other advantages are:
