The G4 Gangway has been engineered to be stronger and lighter than traditional units, yet smoother to operate. Rather than welded galvanized steel or aluminum construction that yields heavy gangways that are susceptible to cracked or fatigued welds after prolonged use, the G4 is constructed using parts - most often aluminum - that are stamped out in a tool-and-die process and then formed by bending the metal into the required shape, eliminating the need to weld pieces together.
