This company offers lead screw, linear rail, spline shaft, slide, guide, and actuator assemblies with its Kerkote TFE coating, which reduces friction and extends component life. Unlike hard and so-called "flake free" coatings that become dry and paste-like and stick to screws, this TFE coating is a long-term dry lubricant that transfers to the nut, creating a low-friction protective layer on the nut or bushing without harboring dirt or debris. Requiring none of the maintenance or external lubricant associated with hard coatings, it provides the maximum level of self-lubrication and is more evenly distributed than other lubricants to decrease erratic drag torques and unpredictable wear. It differs from conventional plating and coating because it is soft and has been shown to extend nut and bushing life as much as 10 times when compared with uncoated steel screws and shafts.
