Ventura Transfer Co., Long Beach, CA, transloaded about 25 rail cars carrying 741,000 gallons of ethanol in a single day for a record high number of transloads. In fact, since May 2006, the company has transloaded 173,000,000 gallons of ethanol in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, using specially designed metered pumps to move ethanol from railcar to plant for blending.
