Interphex News: Contamination Control on Agenda

Interphex, considered today's largest pharmaceutical conference and exhibition, is scheduled for the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York April 24-26.

Interphex, considered today's largest pharmaceutical conference and exhibition, is scheduled for the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York April 24-26. Approximately 1,000 companies serving the pharmaceutical and biotechnical industries will showcase the latest lines of equipment, technologies, and services. Among those exhibiting will be Nilfisk-Advance America. Contamination control is a major challenge for the pharmaceutical industry and Nilfisk-Advance America has developed vacuums and accessories to meet this need. The company will display products from its line of specialty vacuums for pharmaceutical manufacturing applications. For instance, it will feature a vacuum that is compatible down to ISO 4 (Class 10) called the IVT 1000 CR. It comes standard with an ultralow-penetration air exhaust filter to retain particles down to 0.12 microns. It's suggested that the IVT 1000 be used in conjunction with Nilfisk's Safe-Pak system, which is designed to collect and retain sub-micron particles in a disposable HEPA-filtered container, protecting the vacuum from contamination and providing a safe means for waste disposal. The system has been designed to be extremely quiet, compact, and easy to maneuver. It's also autoclavable for simple cleaning.
