Dynapar has introduced the EN series of oilfield encoders, suitable for use in Zone 1 hazardous locations. The incremental encoders are able to operate in hazardous areas without the need for intrinsic safety (IS) barriers, which can reduce system cost, simplify wiring, allow faster data acquisition rates and provide for a more permanent installation. The encoders also feature:
- Ex ia mb e IIC T4 ATEX certification.
- –50 to 100°C operating temperature range.
- Field wireable terminal block inside a conduit box with common ¾” NPT entry.
- Optional ATEX-rated glands for armored or non-armored cable use.
- Corrosion resistance.
