Colortrax striped fluoropolymer tubing can be used to identify chemical processes and fluid handling lines or other types of connections where quick tube identification is necessary. It offers instant and positive identification of lines without obstructing the view of the media flowing through the tube. Also, because the stripe runs the entire length of the tube, operators can distinguish one line from another without having to search for identification labels. Unlike alternative marking systems, Colortrax bonds fluoropolymer to fluoropolymer in order to offer better resistance to the rub-off, chemical attack, and heat deterioration common in traditional marking systems. Additionally, pigmented fluoropolymer is confined to the tubing’s outer wall, thus avoiding any risk of contaminating the process fluids inside. Colortrax is available in PTFE, FEP, and PFA resins. It comes in sizes up to 1 in. OD and in 10 striping colors. For more lines, two stripes can be placed side by side of the same or different colors. Samples are available.
