Portable Laminar Flow Hoods with EC Motor
Fullerton, CA – Low-energy, electrically commutated fan/filter motors reduce operating costs of Terra's Smart WhisperFlow™ Hoods. Available as vertical or horizontal laminar flow, these hoods offer an optional remote monitoring and control system for fan power and speed. All models include recessed, cool-running LED lighting, another energy-efficient feature.
Filtered laminar air flow removes contaminating particles from the working area, protecting sensitive processes. Fan units may use HEPA or ULPA filters, along with a pre-filter to remove the largest particles and extend the life of the main filter. Internal baffle plates and an anodized aluminum diffuser panel keep airflow uniform, meeting ISO cleanliness requirements. Fan/filter units operate at 50 decibels for a comfortable work environment.
Materials used to fabricate the hoods include 304 stainless steel, static-dissipative PVC, amber acrylic and polycarbonate, each offering different benefits for specific applications. Stainless steel and polycarbonate resist damage from disinfecting chemicals, for instance, while amber acrylic protects light-sensitive materials.
Terra Universal has 40 years of experience manufacturing laminar airflow and exhaust hoods for applications performed in labs and cleanrooms. Visit Terra Universal's website for more information about their WhisperFlow Benchtop Laminar Flow Hoods.
