Fullerton, CA – With a maximum stirring capacity of 2000 rpm, the RT2 Basic and Advanced Hotplate Stirrers, manufactured by Thermo Scientific, are available on Laboratory-Equipment's website. Both models are compact, fitting comfortably on any lab bench. Stirring capacity is 20 liters, and maximum plate load is a 55-pound vessel for both models. Their ceramic-coated aluminum heating plates are 5.5" in diameter.
The Basic RT2 stirrer is an analog instrument suitable for routine lab applications. It has a built-in temperature shut-off and hot-top warning. Stirring speed is 50 to 2000 rpm. Thermo's Advanced RT2 offers the same safety features as the Basic model, but with a higher level of accuracy using a digital heating PID control with feedback loop. Stirring speed ranges from 30 to 2000 rpm. There are three temperature-control modes from which to select, as well as a timer: one minute to 99 hours, 59 minutes. The RT2 Advanced temperature probe gives real-time temperature of the sample being processed.
