Promess has added a new microprocessor-based, hand-held meter for calibration, certification, and verification of both laboratory and production measuring equipment. The new PRO-CM16 includes a digital sensor interface for automatic detection of torque and force sensors and a USB interface.

The PRO-CM16 is a battery or USB-powered precision amplifier designed to work with Promess transducers and standard strain gauge load cells to calibrate and certify force and torque measuring systems. It has a sampling rate up to 1,600/s and an instrument accuracy of 0.01-percent. It can measure in tension or compression and provides an overload warning in both positive and negative directions.
