(Manufacturing.net) — igus has recently announced the expansion of its program for tribo-polymer applications with iglide semi-finished products in new sizes and diameters. The round bars and plates are available in more sizes in the iglide A350 material, which is suitable for medium- to-high loads and can withstand temperatures of more than 350°F. It is also FDA-acceptable for food contact. Round bars are now available in four new dimensions — 0.78, 1.57, 1.96 and 2.36 inches, and in up to 3.28 feet in length, with increments of 3.9 inches. The company is also expanding the availability of iglide plates for slide rails and rings, which are constructed of the iglide J, developed for its wear and chemical resistance, and maintenance-free operation.
