ABB Inc. (Auburn Hills, Mich.) will be exhibiting its new 8 kg IRB 360 FlexPicker model, which expands on the high-speed picking and packing performance of the widely-use Delta robot. This new machine brings that same known speed and accuracy to heavier items, and will be available to see at booth #C-4113. There, the 8 kg IRB 360 will be paired with a Schmalz vacuum gripper, simulating a carton loading application by picking five liquid filled plastic bottles in a single cycle, and placing them on a conveyor. This is made possible with ABB’s PickMaster 3 software, which integrates conveyor tracking, advanced vision guidance and vision inspection capabilities. The 8 kg model is capable of handling up to 500 products per minute, and is available in a hygienic design and an IP69K-rated stainless model.
