igus will be displaying new solutions for the packaging industry at booth #S-5552. Products on show will include the company’s new iglide A181 FDA compliant plastic bearings, PRT 01 slewing ring bearings, System E4-1 and System E2/000 Energy Chains, as well as new sizes of its DryLin belt-drive actuators and DryLin linear guides. The company says that these offerings can help manufacturers optimize machinery for a longer life at less cost.
PRT 01 slewing ring bearings: These are low-friction sliding elements that can be used in place of ball bearings. They offer a rigid aluminum slewing ring with the benefits of self-lubricating iglide J sliding elements.
iglide A181 plastic bearings: These lubricant-free bearings permit a maximum surface pressure of 3,625 psi, and in dry-running applications, maximum rotating speeds of 2.62 ft/s and linear speeds of 11.5 ft/s.
System E4-1 Energy Chain: A cable carrier that offers greater stability with the same or smaller dimensions than others in the E4 range, plus compatibility with almost all the accessories and mounting brackets.
DryLin ZLW belt-drive actuators: Belt-drive systems that are ideal for moving low loads at high speeds, particularly in high-cycle applications. They are corrosion-resistant, lightweight and compact, with the standard series using a white polyurethane, steel-reinforced belt that can move at speeds of up to 16.4 ft/s and with loads up to 67 pounds.
