Yaskawa Releases The P1000 Variable Speed Drive

The Drives & Motion Division of Yaskawa America, Inc. has announced the release of the P1000 variable speed drive, which provides simple, reliable, cost-effective control for variable-torque loads throuh 500 HP.

(Waukegan, IL) has announced the release of the P1000 variable speed drive, which provides simple, reliable, cost-effective control for variable-torque loads throuh 500 HP. According to the company, the application features, energy savings and network connectivity make the P1000 a good choice for industrial fans and pumps. In addition, the new drives have a calculated design life that is twice as long as previous generations, which had been 28 years. Other features of the new drives include:

  • User-friendly configuration tools, including a multi-language LCD display with a real-time clock, parameter storage, fan and pump application presets and more.
  • Three expansion ports for additional I/O, feedback and network communications over the following prototcols: DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus-DP, PROFINET, BACnet and Lonworks.
  • Maximized energy control, plus a consturction that reduces harmonic demand from the power system.
  • Availability in 200-240VAC Three Phase 50/60 Hz (up to 175 HP), 380-480VAC Three Phase 50/60 Hz (up to 500 HP), and 500-600VAC Three Phase 50/60Hz (up to 250 HP) ratings.
