FlexLink (Göteborg, Sweden) has developed the X65 conveyor platform that offers, according to the company, a lower total cost of ownership (TCO), a drastically lower noise level and an innovative design. The development and design of the platform was conducted with input from the company’s leading customers in order to meet the requirements of future operations, such as allowing flexibility for new products or increasing capacity. The conveyor’s strength has been doubled, and now requires maintenance intervals significantly wider than previous models, which helps reduce TCO. A low friction design in conjunction with an efficient drive technology  also lowers power consumption by 8 to 44 percent compared to previous high-efficiency drive units from FlexLink. Other features and benefits include:

  • Double speed compared to previous generations: 120 meters/minute.
  • An 80 percent reduction in noise levels.
  • Standardized functions for the handling of products up to 1 kilogram.
