Eriez (Erie, Pa.) has introduced the Pull Test Kit with an NIST traceable digital scale, which the company says provides easier-to-read and more accurate results. When used properly, the test kit helps users monitor the efficiency of their magnetic separators by measuring the holding force of a magnet, which makes them critical in food processing, packaging and pharmaceutical applications. In addition to the traceable digital scale, the new test kits include 4 non-magnetic spacers in various sixes, a 1/8” x 1” x 3” steel plate, a 1/8” x 1” x 3” steel plate with an attached radius non-magnetic space, a 1” diameter steel ball and a ¼” diameter steel ball. All the parts are housed in a hard plastic case, and the variety of pieces makes the kit compatible with a variety of magnetic separators.
