Non-Contact Angle Sensors With Redundant Outputs

Novotechnik (Southborough, Mass.) has introduced the RSC3200 Series of Hall effect angle sensors, which have been designed for use in harsh environments, thanks to a construction that is nearly immune to adverse environmental effects. In addition, they feature redundant outputs — ranging from 0.25 to 4.75 or 0.5 to 4.5 V, depending on customer preference — for high-reliability applications. The operating temperature range is -40 to +125 °C, and, according to the company, the sensors can handle shock and vibration up to 50 and 20g, respectively. An IP-69K rating guarantees protection from ingress of dust and humidity. The measurement angle is factory-programmable for any range maximum between 45° to 360°.
