New Strain- and Bridge-Based USB DAQ Module

Accoring to the Data Translation, Inc., the DT9838 offers high-speed performance in a compact form factor, and without the need for an extrernal power supply.

(Marlboro, Ma.) has announced the release of its DT9838 strain- and bridge-based acquisiton module for USB. According to the company, the DT9838 offers high-speed performance in a compact form factor, and without the need for an extrernal power supply. A given module can also be expanded using RJ45 synchronization of up to four companion DT9838s. Features of the new product include:

  • Simultaneous acquisition with four, 24-bit Delta-Sigma A/D channels.
  • Throughput rates of up to 52 kS/s per channel.
  • Compatability with smart sensor TEDS (IEE 1454.1).
  • A flexible software-programmable trigger and calibration.
  • Included drivers and software for Windows XP/Vista/7.
