FORT COLLINS, CO — Anheuser-Busch, the country’s largest brewer and a leading American manufacturer, announced Aug. 3 a $18.2 million investment at its Fort Collins brewery. The investment is part of the brewer’s announcement made earlier this year to invest $1 billion over two years in the company’s facilities to help accelerate the nation’s recovery and drive economic prosperity in communities across the U.S.

“We’re proud to be a dedicated member of the Fort Collins community since 1988, and this investment epitomizes our deep commitment to our community and to the broader beer industry,” said Gene Bocis, Sr. General Manager, Anheuser-Busch Fort Collins brewery. “Our team is excited to continue expanding our ability and capacity to brew some of America’s most recognizable and beloved brands right here in Fort Collins where we employ nearly 600 people.”

The investment will enable Fort Collins to continue to bolster its reputation as a high-quality brewer – increasing and enhancing its brewing and packaging capacity and capabilities to meet consumer demand while reducing its overall environmental impact.

“Our planned $1 billion investment in our facilities over the next two years is about supporting our local communities by creating and sustaining jobs during our nation’s critical period of recovery,” said Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch. “The Fort Collins brewery plays an important role in enabling our innovations and producing the highest-quality products for our consumers to enjoy. This investment in Fort Collins and the surrounding community is one way that Anheuser-Busch is helping to accelerate our overall recovery.”

The investment in the Fort Collins brewery is part of a larger investment spanning 26 states that will expand Anheuser-Busch’s U.S. operations, stimulate economies in communities across the country, and enable sustainable innovations. Anheuser-Busch owns and operates more than 120 facilities around the country and employs more than 19,000 hardworking people. The beer industry in the U.S. creates more than 2 million jobs and generates more than $331 billion in economic activity each year.

“We are grateful for Anheuser-Busch’s partnership over the years as a key employer in the region and as a longtime member of the Fort Collins community,” said Jeni Arndt, Mayor of Fort Collins. “Thank you to Anheuser-Busch for strengthening our manufacturing sector and making investments that will benefit our community and the broader economy for years to come.”

Construction to upgrade the Fort Collins brewery is currently underway and is expected to be completed later this year. Learn more about Anheuser-Busch’s planned investments here.
