SENATOBIA, Miss. (AP) — A technology manufacturing company will bring 50 new jobs to a Mississippi facility through a $36 million expansion.
A Tuesday statement says Swiss company ABB is making the 200,000-square-foot (around 18,580-sq. meters) addition to the north Mississippi operation to strengthen its production of Tmax XT circuit breakers. News outlets report ABB will also fill the remaining 150 of the 300 jobs it announced in 2016.
The Senatobia facility opened in 2016 and manufactures Emax 2 Breakers along with other electrical switches.
The statement says construction should begin in the spring and operations will start in the new facility by the end of 2019. The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance for infrastructure and building improvements. The city of Senatobia and Tate County are providing standard property tax exemptions.
