AMES, Iowa (AP) _ Renewable Energy Group Inc. (REGI) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $24.3 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Ames, Iowa-based company said it had net income of 53 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 43 cents per share.
The biodiesel producer posted revenue of $597.8 million in the period.
Renewable Energy Group shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $28.89, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
