IQMS Hires Jeff Overman To Aid Expansion Of MES Department

IQMS has advanced its MES offerings significantly over the past year and Overwein’s recent appointment will foster the expansion of the targeted product line to manufacturers across the nation.

PASO ROBLES, CAIQMS, a manufacturing ERP software and MES developer with an ongoing, proactive commitment to its product and relationships, today announced the hiring of Jeff Overwein to facilitate its robust Manufacturing Execution System (MES) division. IQMS has advanced its MES offerings significantly over the past year and Overwein’s recent appointment will foster the expansion of the targeted product line to manufacturers across the nation.

Upon joining the IQMS team, Overwein brought a wealth of hard-earned MES knowledge gained during an impressive 24 years in the manufacturing industry. Tasked with supporting IQMS’ powerful line of MES software and hardware offerings, such as RealTime™ Production Monitoring and RealTime™ Process Monitoring, Overwein will collaborate with current and future customers to help them best utilize IQMS’ vast range of MES functionality embedded in EnterpriseIQ.

“Jeff possesses a definitive knowledge of the manufacturing industry,” said Glenn Nowak, vice president at IQMS. “Combine that knowledge with his decades of hands-on experience and Jeff truly understands the specific pain points manufacturers are experiencing and can assist them in resolving their shop floor challenges. Time and again, the ROI results our customers demonstrate after implementing our MES offerings underscore the importance of fully integrated shop floor control.”

Prior to joining IQMS, Overwein worked for MES software provider, Mattec Corporation, for 16 years. There, he excelled in implementation, training, quality assurance and sales of their MES software. In 2009, Mattec was sold to Solarsoft Business Systems, a provider of both ERP and MES software. At his new company, Overwein sold both types of software to the manufacturing industry before transitioning to IQMS.

“IQMS is a great fit for me and I am very excited to be working for a company that has always been an industry leader in providing ERP and MES software solutions to various manufacturing companies,” said Overwein. “Our ability to tightly integrate ERP software to the shop floor is vastly different from other software packages. With EnterpriseIQ, critical process data is collected in real time to ensure product consistency and keep our customers proactive, efficient and informed.”
