HP Secures $135 Million Tech Services Contract

PALO ALTO, Calif. (AP) — Technology company Hewlett-Packard Co. said Tuesday it has received a $135 million, eight-year technology services contract from the Alabama Medicaid Agency.

The contract, HP said, extends its 30-year relationship with Alabama's Medicaid agency, which oversees the Medicaid program for more than 900,000 state residents each year.

Shares of HP climbed 13 cents to $38.52 in after-hours trading. The stock had closed down 65 cents at $38.39.
