ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Consulting company IHS Inc. said Tuesday that it is buying privately held electronics technology research group iSuppli Corp. in a move meant to improve its ability to offer information in the electronics, manufacturing and supply chain markets.

Financial terms of the deal, which IHS expects to close on or before Nov. 15, were not disclosed.

Also Tuesday, IHS reiterated its outlook for the fiscal year that ends Nov. 30, saying it still expects adjusted earnings of $2.93 per share on $1.06 billion to $1.07 billion in revenue.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect a profit of $2.95 per share on $1.07 billion in revenue.

For its fiscal 2011 year, IHS forecast revenue of $1.21 billion to $1.25 billion, which the company said includes an expectation of 3 percent to 4 percent growth in revenue from iSuppli.

Analysts are looking for $1.19 billion in revenue from IHS in fiscal 2011.
