PALO ALTO, Calif. (AP) — Hewlett-Packard Co. said Wednesday that it has named Microsoft veteran Bill Veghte to head its software and solutions business.
Veghte will oversee HP products for technology management, business intelligence and communications as executive vice president of the $3.6-billion business,
At Microsoft, Veghte was a senior vice president overseeing the dominant Windows operating system. He managed the launch of Windows 7.
Veghte will report to Ann Livermore, executive vice president for HP Enterprise Business.
