Photo of the Day: President Obama Turns to TN

Take a look at IMPO's photo of the day, featuring the President as he begins his travels promoting some very big announcements that will directly effect the manufacturing sector.

President Obama is seen stepping off of Marine One prior to boarding Air Force One at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. this morning. This particular trip for the president is coming in the wake of his proposal to fund two years of community college for all, and has him traveling to Tennessee where he will further speak to the training and education needs of this country.

"It's something that we can accomplish, and it's something that will train our work force so that we can compete with anybody in the world," explains Obama.

In Tennessee, President Obama will introduce a second proposal in his administration’s effort to boost wages and promote job skill training for the current workforce. According to the Associated Press, this proposal outlines the creation of a fund to assist low-wage workers — with high potential — receive proper training in fields such as energy, information technology and advanced manufacturing.
