3D systems has teamed up with The Hershey Company to create the CocoJet 3D Printer, the most advanced 3D chocolate printer in operation. The chocolate 3D printer will be previewed at the 2015 International CES, at Sands Expo but made its original debut at Hershey’s Chocolate World on December 19, 2014.

"Our partnership with Hershey, the largest producer of quality chocolate in North America and a global leader in chocolate and confections, allows us to create unique, exciting and personalized edible experiences," said Chuck Hull, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder, 3DS.

This particular printer is designed for the bakers and chocolatiers of the world and is capable of printing custom designs in dark, milk or white chocolate. It is also a tool to provide market research on consumer applications for this unique application of 3D printing.

Hull adds, "Our preview of CocoJet at CES showcases the power and possibilities of 3D printing, and extends our experience and innovation in culinary 3D printing."
