New Bottling Plant To Add 110 PA Jobs

Silver Springs Bottled Water said the plant will open under the name Crossroads Beverage Group LLC in an existing 324,000-square-foot facility.

TEMPLE, Pa. (AP) — A Florida-based beverage bottler said it will open a new bottling and manufacturing facility in eastern Pennsylvania.

Silver Springs Bottled Water Co. said Friday the plant will open under the name Crossroads Beverage Group LLC in an existing 324,000-square-foot facility Muhlenberg Township, Berks County.

The new plant will create about 110 jobs within three years.

Berks Economic Partnership president Jon Scott said it is expected to be open by April 1.

Crossroads Beverage said it will model its operations on its current Florida business model. It packages water in various size bottles for private label customers.

The building was vacated by Power Packaging in 2009.
