CLEVELAND (AP) — Danny Glover is meeting in Cleveland with workers at a men's suit plant whose plight became the actor's cause during the recent Academy Awards.

The star of the "Lethal Weapon" movies joined with a union in urging Hollywood not to wear Hugo Boss suits to the Oscars earlier this month, to show support for the factory's 375 employees. They'll lose their jobs if Germany's Hugo Boss AG closes the plant next month as planned.

A news release says actor and activist Glover will visit with workers inside the plant on Tuesday to show moral support.

The union, Workers United, says the facility is profitable but is being shut down because Hugo Boss can make clothing more cheaply in Europe. The company says the plant is under capacity and not competitive.
