DAHLONEGA, Ga. (AP) — Koyo Bearings USA, which plans to complete an expansion of its Lumpkin Countyplant next year, will add 50 employees and is holding a job fair.

The 70,000-square-foot addition will increase the plant's production of roller bearings. Ground was broken earlier this month.

The company says it will hold a job fair Saturday at Lumpkin County High School.

Plant manager Barry Beyer says demand for bearings is increasing as the automotive industry recovers.

Koyo has operated a plant in Lumpkin County for about 30 years, employing as many as 300 people. The plantnow has 155 employees, up from a low of 120.

Beyer said the company will take advantage of the state's Quick Start program, which provides customized job training to new or expanding companies.
