CONYERS, Ga. (AP) — An Illinois-based manufacturer says it will establish a corrugated cardboard sheet-feeder plant in Conyers, bringing 50 jobs to the area.
Corrugated Supplies Co. announced Thursday it will put the plant in the former Solo Cup distribution center. The company says plant operations are expected to begin in September.
Glenn Sears, executive director of the Conyers-Rockdale Economic Development Council, said the deal to bring Corrugated Supplies to Conyers has been in the works for more than two years.
The Development Authority of Rockdale County will provide tax abatement bonds for five years as an incentive.
Corrugated Supplies is a privately held company that employs about 200 full-time workers and operates sheet-feeder plants in Bedford Park, Ill., Cullman, Ala., and New Haven, Ind.
