Legacy Electronics Cuts Ribbon On SD Facility

CANTON, S.D. (AP) — Electronics manufacturer Legacy Electronics cut the ribbon on a 40,000 square foot plant in Canton, S.D. on Monday. Legacy Electronics builds, designs and tests of high-speed, high-density memory modules, printed circuit boards and other computer products. It chose Canton for its manufacturing operations in March.

CANTON, S.D. (AP) — Electronics manufacturer Legacy Electronics cut the ribbon on a 40,000 square foot plant in Canton, S.D. on Monday.

Legacy Electronics builds, designs and tests of high-speed, high-density memory modules, printed circuit boards and other computer products. It chose Canton for its manufacturing operations in March.

The company completed the first phase of its move from San Clemente, Calif., in June, which included installation, calibration, and qualification of the Canton electronics component production line.

The company is hiring technicians and inspectors

Lt. Gov. Matt Michels, company executives and local officials participated in a grand opening ceremony on Monday.
